Tournament of Minds
Tournament of minds is open to children in stage three who show an interest in problem solving.Children must work with their group using drama and creativity to solve a problem with limited adult assistance over several weeks and on an impromptu basis.They then present to judges who critique their work.

NSW Premier's Reading Challenge
OLGC is an active participant.

Prior to school transition program
Children beginning school need support as they make the change from pre-school, long day care or family day care to school. OLGC organizes a series of visit mornings for children to enable them to get to know the school staff, experience the classroom, meet their new class mates and tour the school site. These visits also help the school staff understand the needs of the children before they begin school. Opportunities are also provided for parents to learn how to support their child during the change to school and know what support is available from the school.

Seasons for Growth
Seasons for Growth is a program for children experiencing loss through death, divorce or separation.
