3.  Great authors besides you--born on the same day  -  This part of the assignment takes you to a link where you will enter your  birthday, then research a literary figure who's birthday is the same as yours. After you get to the link for this assignment:
                       1. click on the month you were born.
                       2. scroll down to find an author who shares your birthday
                       3. pick an author you'd like to find out about and click on that name.
                       4. read the info & IN YOUR OWN WORDS write 2 or 3 sentences about this literary figure.

4.  What happened in history on your birthday?  -  At this site you'll find events in world history that occured on your birthday. On the side panel of this site you'll see a part called 'What happened on your birthday'. Put in your birth date and click on Go. Find an interesting event that happened on the same date as your birthday (it may not be the same year) and record it on your sheet.

5.  What happened in Australia on your birthday?  -  At this site you'll find information about what happened in Australia around the time you were born. First click on the month you were born, then on the date. There may not be a match with your year of birth, if not choose an interesting event that happened on that date in some other year.

6.  Your favourite toys  -  you were probably given lots of toys by those who loved you. This site lits most of the common toys from the 1980's. As you go through, find the first toys you can remember playing with. Don't spend too much time here, we only want the first one or two toys you remember.

7.  What was on at the Movies?  -  Find the year you were born and check out the hit movies. Scroll down to the year you were born. Pick a movie you are familiar with from that year. Give a brief descrption of the plot, setting, and main characters.

8.  The music that played when you were born  -  Songs that remind your parents of when you were born. This activity brings you to a website of popular music history. If you are not familiar with the tunes or artists listed, then ask your parents to sing a few bars. But don't make fun of them if they do. When you get to the website, click on the week you were born.

        1. Find info for the week in the YEAR you were born. If there is no information
for the year you were born then click (top/center) on "last week" or "next week"
until you find things that happened during WEEK of the YEAR you were born.

RECORD THE INFORMATION IN YOUR OWN WORDS.

              2. Scroll further down the music website page to see if any recording artist shares
your birthday--in any year. Once again, if there is no information for the year you
were born then click (top/center) on "last week" or "next week" until you find an
