The Bugalugs Bum Thief

In our class this term we have been reading a story by Western Australian author Tim Winton. The name of the book is the Bugalugs Bum Thief. We enjoyed the book and it's funny little tale of the missing behinds. We would like to show other children some of the activities that our class has done using the story as a base for our ideas.

Brooke and Lisa wrote about the story.

These are some photos of us with our Bugalugs Bum Thieves we made in art!

We made sand tray maps for Bugalugs Town.

We also made Wanted Posters to help find that thief!!

Our Maths Rap

On the 11/8/98 Room 9 solved maths problems to send e-mail to other schools around Australia. Then Anita and Morgan went off to find out how many teachers there are in our school. It ended up that there are 32 teachers in North Parmelia Primary School. We also found out how many classes there are. There are 22 classes in our school. We also found out how far it was from Kwinana to Perth. It is 38.5 kms. We also added up big numbers. After recess the girls got weighed by the boys, then the boys got to be weighed. While the boys were getting weighed, the girls got to see how tall they were.
