  • open Netscape Composer 
  • SAVE page now (must follow steps below)
  • open 'Pembnet' in Internet Explorer
  • click on 'Junior School' to get to JNET
  • click on CURRICULUM 
  • click on COMPUTING
  • click on 'How to...'
  • click on 'Creating Web Pages'
  • use these instructions as a guide to help you make your web pages
  • under 'How to..' there may be other instructions you could also use

  • create your own Word Art Heading in Word
  • capture it using Paintshop Pro (see 'How to...')
  • then make it transparent (see 'How to...')
TIP
  • if buttons in Netscape are not working...
  • click on the MENUS to find the long way

  • (after inserting an image the buttons will often become active again)
SAVING ** Follow carefully **
  • click on FILE then SAVE
  • change the location to MY FILES
  • make a new folder called 'web_fred' 

  • (substitute YOUR name and ensure there are NO capitals and NO spaces)
  • press ENTER twice to stamp the name on the folder and put at the top
  • with your web folder at the top...
  • name the first page 'index' (no capitals)
  • press ENTER twice (requires a double save)
  • when naming other pages check your web folder is at the top
  • use one or two words but NO spaces or capitals
