 In
the dreamtime a man called Gidja was making a fish net. His two wives were
collecting food and his two sons were fishing. Every day when the boys
finished catching fish they ate nearly all of the fish and what was left
they gave to their parents. The man was getting annoyed and one day when
the man had finished the net Gidja had an idea. He got the net and he
walked to the beach. He saw his sons and he wrapped them in the net and
pushed them out to sea and walked home. |
When
the wives found out what happened they planned their revenge on him. One
night when the man fell asleep the wives lit the hut on fire with the man
in it. The man woke up and saw fire. The fire burnt him and he died. He
turned into the moon and he made the wives disappear.
