A long time ago there lived an owl called Winda and he was in the form of a man who lived in Nurrunga country. Every day he took his gudly (big and black) dogs hunting. One day the Tooketja went out to hunt leaving their children at home. While they were hunting Winda told the gudly dogs to kill their children. So the gudly dogs killed their children and when the Tooketja parents returned to their camp and saw what had happened to their children they cried and cried. They were so cross with Winda they went to his cave. On their way they talked about which cave Winda lived in and the sad story about their children. So at Winda's cave they snuck in and they lured the gudly dogs to them and killed them and cursed Winda to only come out at night. So then they spent the rest of their life crying together.
