Assemblies

 Fortnightly Assemblies

Every fortnight on a Friday we have an assembly with the whole school. We sing the school song to begin with then we pray. After the prayer we have some messages After that we have either the P&C Award where someone is chosen and they receive a book certificate and a book mark, or if we don't have that we have the Aussie of the Month, where a boy or girl is chosen and receive a badge that they wear for a month and a certificate that they get to keep forever. We then have Certificates of Achievement. After that we sing the National Anthem. Then a "mystery teacher" asks some one to stand up and get an award from Mrs Worthington for being a good audience member.

We have this assemblies in the Green Room. It got its name because it has green tiles on the floor. The year 5 teacher chooses a group of 5 or 6 year 5 people to set up the assemblies.

Infants Assemblies

Every Friday that we don't have the whole school assemblies, the infants have an infants-only assembly. They get certificates, birthday cards if their birthday has been or is going to be in the next two weeks, they sing songs and sometimes show art work. They have two leaders; a boy and girl. One week it is Kindergarten the next week Year One and the next week is Year Two. If they didn't have these assemblies they wouldn't know the songs.
