Our Canteen is situated under the Office and next to the Green Room. Our Canteen was awarded a Gold Medal in the healthy canteen competition for two years straight.
The Canteen contains many types of food, such as hot food, lollies, fruit and snacks. Our Canteen is open at recess and lunch. Certain foods are sold at recess and others at lunch.
The staff mostly buy fruit at recess and salad at lunch. Mrs. Wiggins has been Co-ordinator for two years. Before that it was Miss Jensen.
On different occasions the Canteen holds special days where we have different things such as ice cream and sausage sizzles. All the money that the Canteen earns goes to the school as the staff volunteers. Every year
the prices increase and we order new foods.
On the 10-3-00 the Canteen was used for an Ice Cream Day. On that day most of the children bought an ice cream. There were two full lines from the Canteen counter to the back of the Green Room wall.
