Environment

Pleasant Heights is surrounded by scrubland and bush. We have lots of native plants in our garden such as the Bottle Brush, Wattle and Kangaroo Paw. In our garden there are many different types of plants and trees. Some of the trees we have are Gum Trees, Palm Trees and Ferns. We have many different kinds of plants here in Pleasant Heights such as Grevillea, Gazania, Diamond Head, Julie Ann Tea Tree, Kunza Ambigua, Melaleuca Radula, Fraser and the Drum Stick.

Our playground is in size about half a soccer field long. It is covered in grass with dirt patches that get very muddy. The school playground is mainly used for cricket and soccer. Soccer is probably more played then cricket in the playground because cricket is usually played in the multi- purpose court.

The terraces are where we have the big assemblies like when we get our school councillors get their badges. The terraces also have the Flag Pole which we put the Australian flag up each school day.

In most schools they have lots of concrete not grass but hear in Pleasant Heights our layout is almost all grass and the only bit of concrete is the top of our school. We even have grass there as well. We have very nice gardens as well.
