Program:
ClarisWorks/AppleWorks
- Open a Painting document.
- Double click on the polygon tool
and type 6 in the number of sides box then click OK.

- Click and drag to draw a
polygon.
- Select the fill tool
and the first colour to be used and click inside the
polygon to change the colour.
- Using the magic wand tool
click inside the polygon to select it,
- From the EDIT menu select Copy then
Paste or use the keyboard shortcuts Command C then
Command V. Click inside the new polygon and move (by
clicking and dragging) it away from the first
polygon.
- Use the fill tool to change the
polygon to the second colour to be used.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 to create a
third and fourth polygon or as many as needed

- Use the magic wand tool to select and
move each polygon into position for the tessellation.
Note the magic wand will only work with shapes of one
solid colour. For shapes filled with patterns or
gradients, the lasso tool can be used to select and move
shapes.

- The magic wand tool can be used to
select each polygon which can then be copied and pasted
in the correct position. An alternate method can be used
by selecting the polygon with the magic wand then hold
down the Option key (which will leave a polygon in
position) then move the selected shape to its new
position.
