SHARKS by Ryan [top]
A shark is a mammal.

What it looks like:
Sharks can grow up to 6 metres long. It has about 3 layers of teeth. A shark’s forehead is bigger than its mouth.

Where it lives:
In the sea in deep water.

What it eats:
1. Fish                    Fish can swim around and get eaten any day.
2. Raw meat
3. Human meat
4. People
5. Other sharks

Its young:
It has about 3 eggs a year or maybe even 4.

Other interesting facts:
Sharks are really dangerous for some people.

A red kangaroo is a marsupial.

What it looks like:
A red body, black eyes and a long tail.

Where it lives:
In the country.

What it eats:
It eats grass.

Its young:
The Joey stays in the mother’s pouch.

Other interesting facts:
Almost 50% of young red kangaroos fail to reach two years of age; 90% die before the age of ten.

A dolphin is a mammal

What it looks like:
A dolphin has grey skin. They have gills so they can breathe under water.

Where it lives:
In Atlantic seas and oceans.

What it eats:
Small fish, and squid

Its young:
A baby dolphin is born tail first. It weighs 25 kg It eats baby fish.

Other interesting facts:
They have a beaky nose. Their weight is 150-650 kg and their length is 1.9-3.9m.

What it looks like:
A spider has eight legs. A Webweaver is a large black spider.

Where it lives:
A webweaver lives in gardens. It spins a web.

A webweaver mostly eats flies

Its Young:
Its young stays in the web with their mother until a wind blows them into another place where they can build their own web.

A Mantis Shrimp is very colourful . It has very pretty patterns. It also has feather –like skin that looks like a Peacocks feathers.

Mantis Shrimps eat smaller shrimps and seaweed.

Its young:
It lays 10 to 12 eggs a year if it is a female.

A Mantis Shrimp is the largest kind of shrimp in the world. It has big round eyes.

A small puppy cannot see. It drinks milk from its mother. They are born alive.
