OUR PROJECT CLUB |
At present, the Project Club at Rosevale State School is busy raising money for our camp to Sydney. We are leaving on November 16th at 5:30am and will return on November 22nd at about 5:00pm.
We have completed a quilt to raffle to raise money for our camp. Every student and teacher stitched a square, using blanket stitch. The colours we chose were maroon and navy blue. The variety of cottage prints looked very effective and the backing we used was tartan. The winner of the raffle was one of the staff of Gunpowder State School. We raised $135.
We are also compiling a new edition of the Rosevale State School cookbook. We are asking locals to share their secret recipes and favourites and we are helping to type these up for the cookbook. We will be selling the books to help to raise funds for our trip to Sydney. The books will cost $4.
Also, the younger Grades have just been to Dreamworld as a special treat, which was funded by the Project Club. This is because they are not old enough to go to camp.
On the last day of third term, we had our Jump Rope for Heart Jump - Off at school. Leading up to our own Jump-off, we invited the Lockyer Leapers out to perform. They are a demonstration team. It was excellent.
We run a tuckshop one day a week and this also helps to fund our project Club.
