SCHOOL FINANCES

School Fees:

We/I have read the leaflet concerning school fees from the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton and the fee schedule for St John's. We understand and acknowledge:

Accounts are sent out once a term, but may be paid weekly, monthly, and in advance by the term or yearly. We also have available a direct deposit facility.

Resource Levy:

$50.00 (per family per year).

We understand and acknowledge this levy covers books, use of work sheets, resource care and supplement teaching, photocopy costs and paper, library materials, batteries, overhead stencils, resources for Key Learning Areas.

Swimming Levy:

$42.00 per annum per child for transport, entry and professional instructors.

We understand and acknowledge that Years 4 – 7 are charged in Term 1 and Years 1 – 3 are charged in Term 4.

Technology Levy:

$50.00 (per family per year).

This levy covers the necessary implementation of various technology, equipment and service costs. This enables teachers to use modern equipment to further enhance their effective teaching of your child. This levy covers overhead projectors, C.D players, computer software, screens, tape recorders, listening posts, video tapes, TV & VCR's. The levy is a once only payment broken down into four term payments of $12.50 per term per family.

Consumables Levy:

$50.00 per child to a maximum of 3 children per family.

This levy is a once only payment per year, broken down into four term payments of $12.50 a term. The Consumables levy covers art and craft material used in each classroom, general cardboard paper and office printing costs and limited cooking requisites for the classroom and day to day requirements as needed by the teachers.

 

 

SCHOOL BUILDING FUND (DONATION)

Families are requested to pay $75.00 per term per family towards our School Building Fund. This $300 per family per year amount attracts an 80% tax deduction incentive.

Families who wish to donate amounts above $300 will attract a 100% tax deduction. St John's School Building Fund may therefore assist families and/or their business to reduce their assessable income, thus benefiting both themselves and St John's.

DECLARATION:

We/I have studied this enrolment form and the parent handbook and agree to uphold the school's ethos and values, aims and policies outlined therein. If we/I decide to have our/my child absent from school the child's teacher is under no obligation to provide school work to cover this period of avoidable absence. We/I further agree and contract to meet all fees and fund commitments indicated on the enrolment pages and attached fees form, unless otherwise determined the principal. We/I give permission for our/my child/children to take part in all activities organised and approved by the school. We/I consent to our/my child/ren travelling on a designated school bus or any form of public or private transport where such transport is deemed by the school to be necessary or desirable. We/I understand that we/I will generally be given notice of these activities and that we/I may revoke the above permission for a particular activity by writing a note to that effect to the class teacher or school principal. We/I further understand that these activities may involve some expense (e.g. bus fares, entry fees) and that we/I will be made aware of this expense in advance of the activity. We/I consent to our/my child/ren participating in all normal curriculum and sporting activities conducted by the school. We/I hereby apply for enrolment/re–enrolment for our/my child/children at St John's Catholic Primary School, Gladstone, for the year _______.
