CATERING MANAGER
To enter into this career you will need to have:
Year 10 to Year 12 or equivalent with English and Mathematics, or mature age. Entry to the ACT courses range from no pre-requisites to completion of previous certificate - for example you must complete Certificate II in order to do Certificate III.

COOK/CHEF
To enter into this career you will need to have:
Year 10 or equivalent. Entry ranges from no entry requirements to general educational competencies at Year 10 level. Alternative entry may be available.
Certificate Courses
TAFE NSW - various colleges
Certificate I and II in cookery, level 1 - 228 hours, level II - 249 hours
Commercial Cookery - Trade, 825 hours.
Certificate II and III in Food Studies (Community Food Services), 6 months full time or 1 year part time.
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Asian, 1017 hours
DIETITIAN / NUTRITIONIST
To enter into this career you will need to have:
At least two units in Mathematics and two units of Science at HSC level. Multi-strand science combining two of the two unit courses in Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Food Technology is preferred but any one of these two unit courses is acceptable. Alternative entry may be available.
