Diary.

Hi, we are the diary group. Alisha, Rebecca, Mark and Mathew would like to tell you about the steps that the children followed .

 

Day 1

What do I need to know?

Each of the six groups were given task to do.

Group 1 had to research PANDAS.

Group 2 had to research NUMBATS.

Group 3 had to research RHINOS.

Group 4 had to research TIGERS.

Group 5 had to organise the HOMEPAGE, write a find-a-word and make a DICTIONARY.

Group 6 had to keep a DIARY and use a database to record the sources of information.

Day 2

Where do I find information ?

The children chose places to find information in :

encyclopedias

atlases

CD Roms

books

 

Day 3.

Find the information.

The children were sent out to find information about their task.

 

Day 4.

The children in group 6 found out how to use the camera and the other groups found out their animal's habitat, enemies, looks, food and behavior. Our group took the images from the camera onto the computer. They found out information for their animals on the computers , atlas and encyclopedias.

Day 5.

The diary group had a look at the photos that they’ve been taking about for a few weeks now. The other groups have been busy doing their work; making notes and designing graphics.

Day 6.

The groups got together and worked on their animals. They are all working well. The homepage group is using Microsoft Publisher to make a Find-a-word.

Day 7.

All the groups are working in Step 5, presenting their work.

We took work down but didn't use it.

Day 8.

The diary group nearly finished the data base. They are still looking for new books.

Day 9.

The diary group finally finished the data base. Other groups are putting their work into Ms Frontpage.

Day 10.

Five groups are working on class work while the last group finishes.
