Uluru
Uluru is in the middle of the desert.There are holes in rocks by the Aborigines throwing their spears through them.
Uluru is made from sand stone and millions of years ago it has turned over and it remains lying there today.

How dunes are formed
Some sand dunes are made by wind blowing in one direction. They all end up facing the same direction.
Salt creeks usually have sand dunes at the bottom of the creek.

Kings Canyon
Kings Canyon has a steep drop and is very eye catching. It is joined to Ayers Rock and Alice Springs.
The Olgas
The Olgas is not far from Uluru. They are huge domes made from rock, and standing close together. The Olgas are 32 kilometres from the western side of Ayers Rock.

The Mc Donnall Ranges
The Mc Donnall Ranges is a desert landform in the Northern Territory. Some of the palm trees growing in the Mc Donnall Ranges are of ancient times.

The Devil's Marbles
Devils Marbles is a part of Central Australia. Some of the marbles have a height of six metres, although they can appear even larger. There was an erosion that caused them to form the way they are now.
