Sand dunes

Salt Lakes

The biggest is Lake Eyre in South Australia. The salt is 3 Metres thick. Salt lakes are used for motor racing and for land speed records.

Uluru

Uluru is three hundred and forty- two metres above the desert floor. Even half way up you can still see the spectacular surrounding land scape. I recommend Uluru to any tourist because it is one of Australia's most spectacular sites.

The Olgas

The Olgas are located thirty two kilometres west of Uluru, and about 450km south-west of Alice Springs.

The tallest of the rocks is Mount Olga, it is 546 metres above the surrounding desert and 1072 meters above sea level.

The Devil's Marbles

The Devil's Marbles are a series of granite boulders. They are scattered over country near the Davenport Range in the Northern Territory.
