Captain Watkin Tench was one of the officers that was on the first-fleet. He said the food tasted awful but it kept them alive for 6 months. They ate bread, beef, pork, dried peas, oatmeal, butter, cheese, and vinegar and drank rum (usually watered down ). It was a very boring!

HOW CLOTHES WERE MADE..
Clothes were made in England for the convicts. They were made by hand. The early settlers from the first fleet thought that the women convicts should sew by hand.

In 1800, a farmer named John Macarther brought in a load of sheep in and started a wool industry. Clothes were used from the sheep's wool.
