TENTS .

The tents were brought over from Britain. They were a small cover just to keep the rain off the convicts.

 

HOLLOW TREES.

They found hollow trees to have shelter for the night. But when it rained, it got soggy and muddy.

 

OLD COTTAGES .

Cottages were one of the simplest homes. Sometimes when it rained the cottages got wet through. The convicts lived in the cottages and they put a lot of work into them .

 

STONE HOUSES.

After the first simple homes there were stone houses. The soldiers lived in these stone houses.
