Tigers eat deer, buffalo, goats, boars, antelope and hares .
When the tiger stalks it's prey, it may break the animal's neck. The tiger will kill with a strangle hold on the throat. Tigers hunt animals in order to feed. Tiger's kill people. Some more animals that tigers will eat are wolves and lions. An adult tiger can eat up to 55 pounds of meat at once. The tiger eats wild cattle and smaller animals.
The male tiger weighs about 170 kilograms. His size is about three metres from tail tip to nose tip. The tail is about 76 centimetres. Females are smaller than males. Most tigers are about 10 feet long. Mostly like lions , thay have sharp claws , a powerful body and sharp teeth. A new born baby cub will weigh just over a kilogram. Unlike a male lion, the tiger has no mane. Tigers use their tongues to clean themselves.
HABITAT....
The tigers live in the forests of India and their stripes blend in with the shadows and streaks of sunlight. The Siberian tiger lives in Asia. Tigers needs forests and grass lands for food.
Why are tigers endangered?
They are almost extinct by human machines and tiger disease. The tigers need protection from poachers and hunters. India's Government wants to protect the tigers from extinction and so do zoos.
